Fall Fashion Trends 2023

While the Cold Season is inevitable,

We must persevere and come out as stylish

and as confident as possible. Coming from intense Pinterest and TikTok research,

I have found the most iconic trends that are useful and insightful. In a very slow, yet mundane cold season, I have attached inspiring and unique pieces that might inspire or change your perspectives on the Traditional “Fall Outfit Inspo”.

These Fall favorites are some of the most exciting looks I’ve seen yet. Coming from Stella McCartney, with the faux-fur, dalmation insprired fuzzy trench and the double button tapered tuxedo dress. With this research, I’ve definitely discovered McCartney is my favorite designer. Aside, we have the silk blue top paired with classic denim pants and the elegant dark brown, scarf coat, which in itself is a standout piece. Lastly, I want to mention the elegant look from Pierre Cardin, with the black satin bandeau top with the plaid paired pants and the short sleeve, half long plaid coat. Beautifully styled and perfect contrast for a more casual, basic look.

How to Shop for Vintage Pieces

As someone who loved buying and shopping second-hand pieces, I'm gonna give you a simple guide to finding the right pieces for you.

Through time, the term “Vintage” has replaced “Second-hand”, making it sound more elegant and appealing. In the ‘Second-hand’ community, it’s commonly more budget friendly and can give you the unique pieces you’re looking for without feeling too overwhelming.

First, and for most, having a mood board in mind is a key essential to feeling more organized in the process. As a visual learner, I love to have a game plan before going in blindly. Second, quality over quantity. Luckily, if you have a good eye, you can find high quality vintage pieces at affordable prices. Third and lastly, not going too out of your comfort zone, which can result into pieces never leaving the closet. There’s many benefits to shopping vintage, and I encourage you to experience it, once... twice or many.

My Take on Balenciaga’s Pre-Fall 2024 Looks

I’m sure you’re all aware of the Balenciaga Scandal and if not, I advise you to do some research. It has created a massive dispute upon viewers and I do think a more thorough answer, on their part would be appropriate. I so badly, want to love their pieces and admire the designer’s efforts in creating suitable, yet ahead of trend looks. Unfortunately, it’s just not for me. The Italian brand has through time, come from such a cultured and modest start from Christibal Balenciaga’s work himself, to an out of touch, eerie brand and attended the needs to a very niche audience. Nonetheless, I can still see a lot of individuals feeling inspired by their newest looks, yet I don’t think it’s worth all the attention it’s getting.
